Customizing the Chat Widget



The chat widget is a floating support button on your website that lets customers search your KB and chat with AI.

Accessing Widget Settings



Go to Admin → Widget Builder or Dashboard → Settings → Widget.

Branding Options



  • Accent Color — match your brand (default: #6C63FF)
  • Bot Name — the AI assistant's display name
  • Welcome Message — first message customers see
  • Company Logo — appears at the top of the widget


  • Behavior Settings



  • Chat Enabled — toggle the chat functionality
  • Show Powered By — toggle "Powered by HelpKit" footer
  • Quick Actions — predefined buttons for common questions
  • Business Hours — display hours in the widget


  • Response Templates



    Configure default responses for:
  • Pricing questions
  • Setup help
  • Billing inquiries
  • Contact requests
  • General fallback


  • Preview



    Use the live preview in Widget Builder to see changes in real-time before deploying.
